Featured speakers include Steve LaTourette, former Member of the United States Congress and head of the Republican Main Street Partnership, and David Rusk, a national expert who has worked extensively with state and federal policymakers on local government and regional issues.
The federal surface transportation bill is a multiyear infrastructure measure that expires this year. It presents an opportunity for us to address many of our most pressing issues while demonstrating a bipartisan consensus and common sense voice for meaningful action with our state and federal officials.
Building One Ohio, an emerging coalition of local elected, business, labor, religious and educational leaders from established suburbs, towns, and smaller cities, is organizing the Summit, in cooperation with Building One America, a growing national organization and network of regional and statewide organizations. Cleveland State University is lead sponsor for the Summit and is including it as an upcoming event in its longstanding Levin College Forum. Major sponsors including Laborers International Union of North America Local 860. Cosponsors include Kent State University’s Master of Public Administration Program. The Summit is endorsed by the Northeast Ohio City Council Association.
The Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center is conveniently located just South of the I-71 / I-80 intersection. Free parking is available and the Center is accessible to people with disabilities.
