Statewide clergy luncheon at Fountain Baptist Church, Summit
May 16, 2024, 12 Noon to 2:00 PM.
Fountain Baptist Church, Building one America, NJ Coalition Against Racial Exclusion (NJCARE) and the national Summit for Civil Rights will host a Clergy Luncheon on Thursday, May 16 to discuss some of the pressing priorities and challenges facing our congregations and communities in this critical year.
As we look across our deeply unequal, fragmented and segregated political and social landscape, we see too many of our values being violated because of greed, ineptness or passivity.
The faith communty - and especially the Black Church and the Black Clergy - have an important and vital role to play during this time of massively failed leadership in our secular institutions and public offices.
Please join pastors from across the state as we declare our priories and reclaim our critical role as courageous leaders of our people and prophetic defenders of our faith and our values.
